The Estate, on of the largest of Frascati and Castelli Romani region, 18km from Rome, extends over an area of 118 acres, out of wich 100 are planted with vineyards, 18 acres at olivegrove, in a a large circular valley where the villa landmark has dominant position.

History on 496 a.C.: in a large amphitheatre with the lake Regillo in the middle, an hard battle took place between romans and their ennemies, in the crucial moment, coming from the sky the Dioscuri, the two twins born by Jupiter, led the Romans to triumph!

The battle theatre is today the Tenuta di Pietra Porzia, a small river that runs in the centre of the estate reminds of the ancient lake, the cave with her long grottos, excavated in Roman Empire Age, testifies an agricultural tradition and on 1714 the estate was divided between the proprieties of Pope Clemente XI and the one belonging to Prince Borghese.
The date 1892, engraved in the walls, reminds the birth of the modern cellar, that replaces the ancient cellar excavated in the rock on the Roman Empire time.

Shortly after, the grandfather of the present owners, Giulini family, gave to the estate, 118 acres in a unique body, the current appearance with the vast vineyards and olive grove in the highest part of the amphitheatre.
The vineyards, 100 acres, are planted with Malvasia di Candia, Trebbiano Toscano, Malvasia del Lazio, Greco and Bombino used for Frascati Superiore; Montepulciano, Cabernet and Merlot for Castelli Romani Red.
18 acres are planted with Frantoio, Leccino and Moraiolo and Carboncella, the typical olive of the area, for an extra-virgin olive oil.
In 1945, a post modern style villa now landmark has been built in a dominant position with a splendid view, that sweeps from Rome to Tivoli, the Castelli Romani, Monteporzio and Frascati.

Nowadays the villa and the guesthouse have been transformed into a farm hotel with 12 rooms, an agritourism restaurant and a swimming pool at disposal of who wants to discover the beauty of an untouched landscape in the Roman countryside.

THE VINEYARD

The perfectly aligned rows of vineyard occupy the whole valley of the old Regillo lake, famous for the battle won by the Romans with the help of the two twins, sons of Jupiter, pictured on the labels of the bottles. The vineyard spreads through 100 acres, also cultivated with the old vines Malvasia del Lazio, Greco and Bombino, together with Malvasia di Candia and Trebbiano for a top Frascati.

THE COLLECTING TANK

The collecting tank for the water from a natural spring located within the Estate was built in 1892, together with the cellar.

CYPRESS'AVENUE

An avenue with secular cypresses nearly 1km long leads from the cellar to the agritourism located on the villa and his guesthouse.

THE OIL-MILL

In 2000, a company oil mill was set-up for the cold pressing of our own olives exclusively. The oil obtained, rich of perfumes with very low acidity, has already received numerous quality acknowledgments and won 2/3 olives on Slow Food Guides.

THE VILLA

Built immediately after the Last War, it is a rare example of post modern large country house, designed by a well-known architect of that period, who also designed its garden, with the view of roman landscape.

THE OLD CELLAR

The old cellar is made of several galleries, for a total of 400 meters, hollowed out of the tuff at a depth of 10 meters, perhaps in the late Roman period. In the galleries some niches held 120 wine butts of 10 hectoliters each. A careful refurbishing has integrally restored the cellar, nowadays dedicated to visits and tasting.

THE VILLA'S GUESTHOUSE

The villa's guesthouse, built around 1850, has been restored to its original appearance.

THE MODERN CELLAR

In the modern cellar we use the technology of vinification with cold, which gives the maximum quality for white wines, great structure and perfumes on red wines trough microoxidation.

THE OLIVE-GROVE

Around the villa the top of the hills is occuped by 18 acres of olivegrove cultivated with Frantoio, Leccino, Moraiolo, Rusciola and Carboncella, the typical vatiety of the area.

THE CELLAR

The architecture of the cellar, dated to 1892, located at the entrance at the estate, is in perfect harmony with the landscape.
